We're Not in Japan Anymore...
Just a little something to help Katie keep up with all those who matter to her.

Hi there... sorry it's been so long. Becca came to visit for about three weeks in March, so I got off-track with updating... and just really haven't felt like it since. ): Keeping up a webpage can be difficult and tiring, you know? I do have a lot of pictures that you all would probably like to see, so I'll try my best to get something done. I really didn't do a whole lot this weekend, but I think I needed that. I'm starting to feel run down and ready to go home... ): Which is a good and a bad thing, really.

I started working at my last junior high, Ashitaka, last week. I work with 4 teachers, and have 13 classes of kids. Everyone's very nice, and the vice-principal is a friend I met months ago. I talk to him a lot when he's around. The kids here, though, seem the most star-struck of any that I've worked with... I've gotten so many stares and fingers pointed at me in the last week. It's starting to wear me down, and I'm afraid I don't respond well to it anymore... ): Oh well... at least, the girls who actually bother to try to talk to me, instead of staring blankly at my 'huge' eyes or something, I rather enjoy talking to. One girl has visited me a few times this week, and is very sweet. (: Though, she mostly talks in Japanese... and I find it hard to want to try to make her use English. With only two months left, and my Japanese no better than it was when I arrived... I feel quite sad.

So... well... that's about it. Besides the fun of Becca's visit, not much has happened. I only have two months left, like I said... Quite hard to believe. Well, I'll try to keep you posted better from now on! Take care!
